So my only choice now is to mount the "L volume" and manually copy and paste
each password from the word list. Eventually I should be able to access it.

That makes no sense. You don't mount the "L volume" in TrueCrypt. You mount a file, the one you found called "My Volume," to the L drive. And if OTFBrutusGUI didn't find the password, then TrueCrypt won't either. Since you said you created the volume with an old version of TrueCrypt, did you change the default options in TrueCrypt to match? Since you don't know for sure, your best bet would be to run OTFBrutusGUI again, 3 times. Add your "My Volume" file, add your new word list, check all of the Hashes, Modes and Encryption Algos.

Run it with with Volume Type = Standard
Run it with with Volume Type = Hidden
Run it with with Volume Type = Hidden (TrueCrypt v3.0 - v4.3a)

tateu, thank you so much for all your help. I have only used tc a few times and the last time I touched it s about six years ago. I don't know where exactly the file is.

I tried all of the options and nothing.

I'm at a loss for the moment. Maybe sometime in 2020 there will be something that will be able to solve this puzzle.

Thank you for taking the time to help me wrap my head around this enigma.
